I am only
the constellation of the five elements… There is no I. we only label the
constant becoming and passing away of our body and mind as I. Did you know that
in not more than 3 till 6 months almost all cells in our body are replaced? So
where is than a permanent I? Nowhere!
That is
just the fault of Western psychology: focusing on identity and personality.
They make the mind more and more fixed on an identity that does not exist at
all or only in our mind. In addition, by fixing on this false identity, people
cannot change any more and become more depressed, more mental ill.
It is the
same as when you attach to an idea or thought to much. As long as we cannot
realize it, we will become unhappy. By trying to realize or to strengthen an
identity, which not exist and in which we never will succeed we make our self
unhappy. Because we will never meet the standards, society or we set up to
reach that identity or personality. We are changing all the time…
The wrong
idea in Western society is that it likes to make everything permanent and just
that is an illusion. We try to get every insurance we can because we want to
maintain our current situation. That is not possible. Now we would stand more
open in life and arrange our society in that way, there would be no economic
crisis, no stress…
If we can
realize a society, which is based on permanent change, we did not have to worry
at all. Because we would be open minded to everything that comes in life and
accept it like it is. We would not have to consume more and more to sublimate
our lack of loving kindness, because we would be always radiating loving
kindness to everyone. That is what… Read more I still can
find in rural Thai society. These people accept the things as if they are and
are always helping each other, welcoming every foreigner with good intention…
In contrary
when I am on the train in Holland, everybody looks sad, sorrowful and
suspicious about other people. Moreover, if you smile at them or like to be kind
to them they feel it as if they are attacked or that you perhaps would do
something bad to them. That is what we made out of our society. People see each
other not as friends or brothers and sisters anymore, but as enemies.
